A day of realization.

Today I have learned that certain people are in your life for a reason. Others have left it for a reason as well.
I've also learned that no, not everyone is nice and goodhearted, no matter how much I wish that was true. The world of Interpals has taught me that today. More people are fascinated by good looks than good personality, and quite frankly, it's sad. A girl in a bikini can attract over 100 page views in an hour. A girl with a good smile and a warm personality can attract MAYBE 20 if she's lucky. It's a cold, hard world out there.. And the truth is not pretty.

Today, I also learned that Austin and Nicole want to move in together and they've only been dating 4 months. Lukas and I have been dating for a YEAR and he said it would be okay if I stopped by his new apartment this summer to visit anytime. Big difference there. No, HUGE.

You know, I've realized something big. I need to stop comparing them to Lukas and I. They may be moving faster, but Lukas and I are building a great, stable foundation that will LAST. It won't be a spur of the moment "fling." It will be real, true, and pure. I'd wait all the time in the world to have that.
